At the age of 18, where most of us are probably clueless about everything, this 18 year old boy from Assam is a published author who writes under the pseudonym of Fallenstar. Being the published author isn’t the limit for Bishal, he aspire to become world renowned screenwriter and film-maker.
To minutely satisfy our reader’s craving, we are happy to announce Bishal second book ‘Midnight Delusions’, a psychological horror is releasing soon.
1. This is your debut novel. How does it feel?
A] It feels incredibly amazing and I’m really hyped-up for my future projects
2. When did you first start writing? And, how did you go about starting your first novel?
A] I started writing when I was 9 years old, from middle school. My first novel was merely a mid-night idea that went on to become a book after three months of busting-ass and persistence.
3. How did you come up with the title of your book, ‘Roses Aren’t Red’?
A] I don’t know actually. But the phrase somehow represents the plot really nicely.
4. How have your family, friends and colleagues responded when your book came out?
A] They all were extremely excited and supporting. And my best friend was one of the few who helped me a lot with the development of the plot.
5. What are your hobbies, passion other than writing?
A] I like painting, I like film-making, I love binging Netflix and also studying ‘cuz I’m an 18-year-old student so (laughs)
6. Did you find any change in you or around you after your book is published?
A] Yeah, quite a lot has changed actually.
7. Did you write the books for yourself, or do you write them with a reader’s in mind?
A] Every reader reads a book with their own perception. So, I think writing it for a reader makes no sense. I write my literature because they allow me to be someone that I dream of or aspire to be some day.
8. How do you deal with writing under pressure ?
A] By watching Martin Scorsese’s seminars and interviews and watching Tarantino and Nolan’s films.
9. who’s your first reader and your biggest critic?
A] My first reader is my bestfriend/brother Priyanshu and he is also my biggest critic.
10) When can reader’s expect your next book?
A] Most probably by the end of May.
Thank you Bishal for your precious time. We had very fun reading ‘Roses aren’t Red’ and having this interview with you.
